On June 1st, Perfect Corp. announced support for the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, an initiative put forth by UN Women and UN Global Compact. The Women’s Empowerment Principles consist of 7 principles that companies can implement in order to create fair workplace cultures that develop and support female employees.
The Women’s Empowerment Principles
The Women’s Empowerment Principles were created with the ultimate goal of creating safe environments and equal opportunities for women around the world. Perfect Corp., along with companies around the globe, is working diligently to implement these practices and support women in the pursuit of their dreams.

"If you have a dream, you need to go for it. Life is short and if you work hard and don’t give up, you can achieve the impossible!"
“Mountains have always been fascinating to me”, said Trinh, “To stand at the summit was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever experienced. Mount Everest is a difficult, dangerous and technical mountain to climb and a big challenge."
"I really wanted to learn a lot from this experience, about myself and about the physical conditions of the mountain, as well as the work of the Sherpas (the true heroes of the mountains). My Sherpa’s name was Gyalje Sherpa, and we had a great adventure together."
"But what inspired me the most to pursue this goal was really to show my friends, family and strangers that if you have a dream, you need to go for it. Life is short and if you work hard and don’t give up, you can achieve the impossible!”

In addition to inspiring young women around the world, Trinh, a sustainability advocate, encourages those around her to adopt more sustainable lifestyles and protect the earth. She was excited to partner with Perfect Corp. due to its commitment to technologies that promote more sustainable business practices in the cosmetics industry.
"There are so many small ways we can live more sustainably"
“I always try to remind my family and friends that we only have one earth and that small changes can have a big impact,” says Trinh, “For example, you can try to take shorter showers, or use your own water bottle or cutlery when you go out. There are so many small ways we can live more sustainably.
Sustainability and the Beauty Industry
▲Through Hong’s amazing story, Perfect Corp. hopes to encourage women around the world.
"I was very grateful and proud to have Perfect Corp. as my sponsor. Perfect Corp.’s AR virtual makeup solutions help to reduce product and plastic waste in the beauty industry. These technologies are future-oriented and positively impact the environment.” Above all, Trinh is happy to have had the opportunity to pursue her dreams and inspire women around the world.
“There is almost nothing in life that can stop you except you and yourself,” Trinh said, “It is important to believe in yourself and find ways to reach your goal. It won’t happen overnight, but in my opinion, where there is a will there will be a way. You are responsible for your own luck, and life is worth chasing all the wildest dreams you have.”
